Class Descriptions

A beginner class for puppies under 16 weeks of age, this 6 week class allows puppies to learn proper play behavior through socialization.  Using positive reinforcement, we will show you how to teach your puppy basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come and walking nicely on leash along with other useful information.  Each week a different behavioral topic that every puppy owner is dealing with will also be discussed.  Topics include mouthiness, chewing, house training, crate training, jumping and barking.

This 6 week class for dogs over 16 weeks of age covers the basics for a good family pet.  By teaching and practicing basic commands, dogs will learn essential household manners.  Our weekly games help prepare you to deal with the most common issues that arise as part of dog ownership.

Next Basic Obedience Class Begins Tuesday, February 20th

This 6 week class for dogs of all ages builds on what was learned in basic obedience.  Sharpen existing skills, teach your dog new ones and try some different activities with your canine friend.   Classes are tailored to each group.  Weekly games keep things lively for both owners and dogs!

Teach your four legged companion to be a “good citizen” and then put your skills to the test by obtaining your CGC Certification!  This 6 week American Kennel Club (AKC) class stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs at home and in the community.  Those who pass will receive a certificate from the AKC!

This 6 week class will sharpen your dog's skills.  This class prepares you to get your CD obedience title on your dog.  All of the skills need for the CD will be practiced over this six week class.  Even if you are not trying to get a title on your dog, this class will sharpen all of those skills and give you the opportunity to practice :-)

Exercise your dog’s body and mind all at once and have fun doing it!  Agility is the fastest growing dog sport in the country and there is a reason why.  It’s exciting, fun and also helps build a great working relationship with your dog.   Extremely positive and motivational training creates a fun atmosphere for both halves of the team – human and canine!  Try this class with your furry friend.

These sessions keep building your dogs confidence on the agility equipment, while you both continue learning new skills.  Watch your dog become an agility fanatic as the weeks go on!
